Usdan & BAM to Partner for Dramatic Writing Workshop, 7/21-8/1

Creative writing students ages 12 to 16 from Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the acclaimed summer arts day camp whose alumni include Natalie Portman, Mariah Carey, Jane Monheit and Broadway playwright Michele Lowe, will join for the second season with students of the same age from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Summer Youth Program in a unique two-week joint workshop from July 21 to August 1. The project, which will include study at both Long Island's Usdan Center and BAM, will result in the cooperative creation of a new dramatic work, to be performed by professional actors at both venues in the final days of the workshop.

HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, the new Broadway musical inspired by the lyrics of Tupac Shakur, is offering $43 tickets to the performance on Monday, June 16 at 8pm in celebration of the late Tupac Shakur's 43rd birthday. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at www.Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 877-250-2929 or in person beginning May 12 at the Palace Theatre, 1564 Broadway (at 47th Street). The $43 price includes the facility fee; services fees may apply; tickets are subject to availability.

The Palace Theatre box office opens this Monday, May 12 at 10:00 am for tickets to HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, the new Broadway musical inspired by the lyrics of Tupac Shakur. The Palace Theatre is located at 1564 Broadway (at 47th Street).
