The evening was hosted by Andrew Kober and Danielle Wade. Andrew Kober made his Broadway debut in the 2009 Tony Award winning revival of Hair after originating the roles of Father and Margaret Mead in the Shakespeare in the Park production. He also played the roles in the West End revival in 2010. He has also appeared on television in 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Pan Am' and 'House of Cards.'

Hair - The American Tribal Love Rock Musical became one of my favorite shows when I saw the Tony winning revival in 2009 and then again in 2010. With that, one may have an unconscious hesitation when a local production of your favorite show is being mounted. No one should have that attitude and let me tell you, the cast at Soluna Studio in Hauppauge surely did not disappoint.

Sundance Institute welcomes 13 projects, selected for its annual June Directors and Screenwriters Labs, taking place at the Sundance Resort in Utah from today, May 27 through June 27. Under the leadership of Michelle Satter, Founding Director of the Institute's Feature Film Program, and the artistic direction of Gyula Gazdag, the Fellows selected for this year's program include emerging filmmakers and projects from the United States, Europe, Mexico, Peru and Somalia.

R. B. Kitaj: Personal Library Opens at The Jewish Museum 4/5

Beginning April 5, 2013, The Jewish Museum will present R. B. Kitaj: Personal Library. This exhibition features 33 screenprints from a suite of 50, created by the internationally celebrated painter and graphic artist, R. B. Kitaj in 1969. The portfolio, In Our Time, was acquired by the Museum in 2010. For this series, Kitaj reproduced from his personal library the covers of books that had a profound meaning for him. The images offer insights into the artist's psyche and form a remarkable artistic statement. R. B. Kitaj: Personal Library will be on view through August 11, 2013.

Director Adam Isenberg Receives Margaret Mead Filmmaker Award

Director Adam Isenberg received the Margaret Mead Filmmaker Award at the 2012 Margaret Mead Film Festival on Sunday, December 2, for his film A Life Without Words (Una Vida Sin Palabras), a story of two deaf siblings in rural Nicaragua living entirely without written, spoken, or signed language. Isenberg was selected from among 10 contenders by a jury that included Judith Helfand, Mohan Bonetti, Dan Cogan, and director and anthropologist Patricia Cardoso.
