Geffen Playhouse announces the cast for its West Coast premiere production of The Power of Duff by Stephen Belber, directed by Peter DuBois. The production features Tanner Buchanan (The Goldbergs, Bella and the Bulldogs), Brendan Griffin (Clybourne Park on Broadway, Person of Interest), Eric Ladin (Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire), Joe Paulik (The Good Wife), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Orange Is the New Black, Tony Award nominee for The Motherf**ker with the Hat) Josh Stamberg (Parenthood, The Affair) and Maurice Williams (Pitbulls at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, When January Feels Like Summer Off-Broadway).

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that Broadway's Hand to God will again offer early theatergoers the chance to catch this new American play at a special price: $33.00 per ticket, in recognition of the 33 countries around the world that ban the political use of hand puppets.

JANE AUSTEN'S PRIDE AND PREJUDICE A Musical will preview on Friday, April 17, 2015 (with a press opening on Saturday, April 18) and run through Sunday, May 10, 2015 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

Tony® Award-winner Michael Cerveris ('Bruce Bechdel'), three time Tony® Award nominee Judy Kuhn('Helen Bechdel'), Beth Malone ('Alison'), Obie Award-winner Sydney Lucas ('Small Alison'),Emily Skeggs ('Medium Alison'), and more will reprise their roles from The Public Theater's acclaimed production of Fun Home on Broadway this Spring. Joel Perez and Roberta Colindrez will also return to the cast, with Zell Morrow and Oscar Williams joining the production as Alison's brothers John and Christian respectively. The Menier Chocolate Factory will present the UK premiere of Jonathan Tolins' critically-acclaimed, smash-hit comedy Buyer & Cellar which opens March, 19, 2015, with previews beginning March, 12, 2015, at the Menier Chocolate Factory (53 Southwark Street, London). Buyer & Cellar will play a strictly limited engagement through May, 2, 2015.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the recipients of the 2015 Jonathan Larson Grants are writing team Tim Rosser (composer) & Charlie Sohne (composer) receiving $10,000, Sam Willmott (composer/lyricist) receiving $10,000 and a week-long residency at the Running Deer Musical Theatre Lab, and Max Vernon (composer/lyricist) receiving $10,000.

FOR THE LAST TIME is a new jazz musical by celebrated writer/composer Nancy Harrow (Maya The Bee, This Side of Paradise), directed by Will Pomerantz (The Blue Flower) with music direction by Cody Owen Stine, will get an invite-only industry reading on March 13, 2015.

Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announced today that Elizabeth Frankel has been appointed to join the Alley Theatre as the Director of New Work. Frankel will begin in her new position in June, 2015. Elizabeth Frankel is currently the Literary Manager at The Public Theater in New York where she runs the Literary Department and the Emerging Writers Group.
