Celebrates Rodgers and Hammerstein and Hart, New York City Center's annual Gala tonight, October 27, 2014, will feature the music and lyrics of Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II, and Lorenz Hart, sung by some of Broadway's finest talent, includingKate Baldwin, Kelli O'Hara, Laura Osnes, Steven Pasquale, and Paulo Szot, and with dance performances by Irina Dvorovenko, Chase Finlay, Jared Grimes, and Lauren Lovette.

Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening to benefit the Humane Society of New York will feature Broadway stars including Sutton Foster, Laura Osnes, Christian Borle, Hugh Panaro, Taylor Richardson, John Bolton and Julia Murney, on November 9 at New World Stages. Hosted and with Music Direction by Seth Rudetsky, Best in Shows will be presented by Dorothy and Bill Berloni.

77 Schools to Participate in Hennepin Theatre Trust 's 2014-15 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program

Hennepin Theatre Trust today announced that a record number of 77 schools will participate in the 2014-2015 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program, including 13 new schools and 17 from greater Minnesota. Now celebrating its Tenth Anniversary, SpotLight is the Trust's premier education initiative which supports and honors Minnesota high school musical theatre students and programs that produce annual musicals. Tony Sheldon Replaces Roger Rees in Encores! THE BAND WAGON

Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) has joined the cast of the Encores! Special Event The Band Wagon in the role of Jeffrey Cordova, an egotistical British director. (Roger Rees, previously announced in the role, is no longer available.) The Band Wagon cast stars Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, seven-time Emmy Award winner Tracey Ullman, Academy Award nominee Michael McKean, Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes, Tony Award nominee Michael Berresse and Don Stephenson. The Band Wagon will open on Sunday, November 8.
