First Floor Theater (FFT) has unveiled phtoos from the first show of their fourth season, the world premiere of ANIMALS COMMIT SUICIDE, playwright J. Julian Christopher's high-octane and darkly comic story of desire, disease, and contemporary queer life. FFT Artistic Director Hutch Pimentel directs this powerful world premiere, playing November 15 - December 12 at Collaboraction's Room 300 Theater in The Flat Iron Arts Building.

Catalina Film Festival (CFF) today announced featured tributes and events for the Sept. 24 - 27 festival, held on the famed Catalina Island. Among the honorees for the 5th annual Festival are inaugural recipient of the Soundtrack of Our Lives Award, legendary songwriter Diane Warren; Avalon Award recipient, Mena Suvari (American Beauty, American Pie); Isla Earth Award recipient, Kristin Davis (Sex & the City, Couples Retreat); and Crest Award recipient, Lucas Till (X-Men: Apocalypse, Bravetown). CFF will also pay tribute to Wes Craven, a supporter of the Festival who graciously founded the annual Craven Award for excellence in horror filmmaking and personally selected the winning films.

Today, on E!, John Corbett, who starred on the series as 'Aiden', boyfriend to Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie revealed that 'There's a lot of story left to tell with those women and if HBO got it together, I'd like to see the show come back for a couple of seasons like The Comeback. I'd like to see them come back for, you know, eight or 10 episodes a year for a couple of more years.'

The Ruckus continues its 2014-15 season with the Midwest premiere of BARBECUE APOCALYPSE, Matt Lyle's acclaimed comedy about adulthood, insecurity, and the transformative possibilities of total disaster. The Thomas Murray-directed production of the play called 'a show I enjoyed so much ... that I actually paid to see it again' (Lindsey Wilson, American Theatre) will run February 15 - March 15, 2015 at the Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N Southport Ave.) in Chicago. Tickets are available at AthenaeumTheatre.org, by calling 773-935-6875, or in person at the Athenaeum Theatre box office. A limited number of tickets are also available through Chicago Theatre Week, which runs from February 12 - 22. Press performances will take place on Sunday, February 15 at 4 p.m., and Monday, February 16 at 8 p.m.
