Full casting was announced today for MEMPHIS, an original Broadway musical, opening Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Shubert Theatre (225 W. 44th Street) following critically-acclaimed and sold-out engagements at La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre. Previews begin on Wednesday, September 23, 2009.

Due to the overwhelming audience response to this new holiday favorite, Goodspeed Musicals has added two performances to the schedule of the sensational world premiere stage musical based on Jim Henson's classic holiday favorite Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. The two new performances are Sunday, December 28 and Sunday, January 4 at 6:30 p.m.. La Jolla Playhouse announced today the initial lineup of cast and creatives for the upcoming musical 'Memphis - The Birth of Rock 'n' Roll' slated for August 19th through September 28th in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

Memphis - The Birth of Rock 'n' Roll began previews on August 19th at La Jolla Playhouse and will run through September 28th in the Mandell Weiss Theatre. Memphis is the first production directed by Christopher Ashley at La Jolla Playhouse since becoming Artistic Director. Rehearsals begin July 8th.

The producers of Monty Python's SPAMALOT announced today that the Broadway dates will be rescheduled to accommodate a week-long extension in Chicago. Previews at Broadway's Shubert Theatre will now begin on February 14 2005; the show will open on March 17 2005. The Chicago engagement will now run through January 23 2005. Previews will begin there on December 21 2004 at Chicago's Shubert Theatre.
