This one-woman production, which is conceived, written and performed by Anna Deavere Smith (Nurse Jackie, Fires in the Mirror) and directed by Leonard Foglia (Broadway's Thurgood) and was named one of Entertainment Weekly's Top 10 of 2009, is 'a continually engaging and engrossing collection of testimonials' (The New York Times) that explores the fragility of the body and the resilience of the spirit. Let Me Down Easy closes February 13, 2011 in the Kreeger Theater.

'Culture Ambassador to the World' Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater continues the celebration of the 50 year anniversary of Alvin Ailey's classic Revelations with performances Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2pm and 8 pm and Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 2pm at the Academy of Music. This Philadelphia performance marks the homecoming of Philly native Judith Jamison who leads the dance group through her final season as artistic director, and will be joined by Artistic Director Designate Robert Battle.

In an exciting finish to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's five-week New York engagement, Sunday night's closing performance paid tribute to Ailey's leading woman Judith Jamison on her final season as artistic director.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's upcoming performances at New York City Center feature special collaborations and guest performances with Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Sweet Honey In The Rock, and special guest artists in a Judith Jamison Farewell performance closing the season on January 2nd at 7:30pm.
