Tim Minchin, who wrote the music and lyrics for MATILDA THE MUSICAL and GROUNDHOG DAY, will be one of the headliners for this year's NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL, running today, November 1, through November 6, 2016.

dick clark productions announced today that two-time Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro will be honored with the 'Hollywood Comedy Award' for his film 'The Comedian' at the 20th Annual 'Hollywood Film Awards Presented by Virginia Black.'

Los Angeles' reigning Pumpkin King, Danny Elfman, will return to the Hollywood Bowl today, October 29 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, October 30 at 6:30 pm performing his role of Jack Skellington singing live to film for a very special screening of Disney's timeless holiday classic, 'TIM BURTON'S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.'

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University begins performances of FINGERSMITH by Alexa Junge, based on the novel by Sarah Waters, directed by Bill Rauch. Performances begin on Sunday, December 4, 2016 and run through Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge.

Last night, Chris Gethard celebrated the opening of his off-Broadway show Chris Gethard: Career Suicide at The Lynn Redgrave Theater. Opening night well-wishers included Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Bridesmaids), Josh Radnor ('How I Met Your Mother'), Colin Quinn (Colin Quinn: The New York Story, 'Saturday Night Live'), Aasif Mandvi ('The Daily Show'), and Kimberly Senior (director, Chris Gethard: Career Suicide, Disgraced). Any Broadway musical aficionado will be very familiar with the mere mention of Kelli O'Hara.
