BWW Previews: Globe on Screen's TWELFTH NIGHT Opens in Los Angeles Cinemas, 9/22

Lovers of Shakespeare are in for a real treat when Shakespeare's Globe Theatre brings its all-male Original Practices production of Twelfth Night to local cinemas beginning September 22. Starring award-winning actors Mark Rylance as Olivia and Stephen Fry as Malvolio, the film gives audiences an exclusive opportunity to see this unique performance from the Globe Theatre in London. It is also a chance to see the kind of production that would have been presented in Shakespeare's day, down to the style of the music, dance, costumes, and scenery.

The Trailer Park Boys continue to redefine the meaning of 'holiday' with the Minneapolis return engagement of their “Dear Santa Claus, Go F#CK Yourself” Tour featuring Ricky, Julian, Bubbles, Randy and Mr. Lahey. The mockumentary style live comedy show, based upon the exploits of a group of oddball residents living in the Sunnyvale trailer park in Nova Scotia, launched a hit Canadian television series. Watching distinguished, seasoned veterans onstage in Jonathan Church's play The Last Confession was a privilege. Opening in Melbourne last night, in the final leg of an international tour, The Last Confession centres around the life of Albino Luciani, (played with sincerity and compassion by Richard O'Callaghan), his election as Pope John Paul I and ultimately his death a mere 33 days later. It is an intriguing event not only for the Catholic Church but also in the history of the world with the Church refusing to investigate the potential of foul play from the conservative enclave of the Vatican.
