Civic Theatre of Allentown will produce and stage Kander and Ebb's ground-breaking, iconic musical, "Cabaret" May 6 -22, 2011.

Jonathan Wilkes will star as Billy Flynn in the smash-hit West End musical CHICAGO at the Cambridge Theatre from Monday 9 May for seven weeks only, until 26 June. His last West End engagement was as Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. On tour, Jonathan has starred in We Will Rock You, The Wedding Singer, Guys and Dolls, Tommy, Grease, The Rocky Horror Show and Godspell.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced the complete lineup and dates for the company's 45th subscription season today. The final show of the subscription season will be the acclaimed musical The Scottsboro Boys, which just received 12 Tony Award nominations

Nikki Gil, TV personality, actress and recording artist, seems to be fascinated playing off-beat characters in stage musicals. Gil made her theater debut as blonde sorority star Elle Woods last year. And she's set to grace the stage again starring as dancer-for-hire Charity Hope Valentine in 9 Works Theatrical's production of the Broadway musical comedy Sweet Charity in August.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that The Old Globe will produce the World Premieres of four new plays and musicals in its 2011-12 Winter Season. The season will feature the World Premiere musicals Some Lovers by music legend Burt Bacharach and Tony Award winner Steven Sater and Nobody Loves You by Gaby Alter and Itamar Moses, as well as the West Coast Premiere of John Kander and Fred Ebb's The Scottsboro Boys, recently nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical, directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. The two plays receiving World Premiere productions are Somewhere by Globe Playwright-in-Residence Matthew Lopez and The Recommendation by Jonathan Caren. The new season also includes revivals of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show and the Eugene O'Neill classic Anna Christie directed by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner David Auburn. Special events include the World Premiere of Odyssey by Todd Almond, a music theater event conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet celebrating the Globe's 75th Anniversary, The Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program production of Twelfth Night and Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which returns for its 14th consecutive year.

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is pleased to announce The World Goes ‘Round, the award-winning musical revue of Kander and Ebb, as its 2011 Summer Show.
