LAUGHING LIBERALLY: THIS AIN'T NO TEA PARTY, now enjoying an extended run Off-Broadway at the Midtown Theatre, 163 West 46th Street (just east of Broadway), will celebrate the departure of FOX NEWS's Glenn Beck, with a special edition dedicated to him, this Thursday at 8pm, featuring Beck-themed commentary and a farewell toast as well as an all-star line-up of aggressive progressives delivering a night of Laughter from the Left, including John Fugelsang, Lee Camp, Baratunde Thurston, Katie Halper, Negin Farsad and Jamie Jackson. (Performances continue every Thursday throughout the summer).

Women's Project, the 32-year-old non-profit theater dedicated to producing plays written and directed by women, will increase main stage production next season by 50%. The theater's board of directors authorized Julie Crosby, producing artistic director, to increase main stage productions from two to three at the company's Julia Miles Theater on West 55th Street.

SCR to Present Premiere of Greenberg's OUR MOTHER'S BRIEF AFFAIR

Tony Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg's Our Mother's Brief Affair will receive its World Premiere at South Coast Repertory as part of the theater's 12th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival. Commissioned by SCR and directed by Pam MacKinnon, Our Mother's Brief Affair will run April 3 through May 3, 2009 on the Segerstrom Stage. Low-priced previews are available from April 3 through April 9.
