Starz announced today that the highly anticipated new pirate drama 'Black Sails' will premiere on STARZ on Saturday, January 25th at 9pm ET/PT. The eight-episode first season of the authentic pirate adventure centers on the tales of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his men, and takes place twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'Treasure Island.'

The Tony Award-winning sensation bursts onto the Theatre's stage December 3 - 22, directed and choreographed by Carbonell Award winner Mark Martino (The Music Man, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Crazy for You) and starring Carbonell winner and Broadway veteran Vicki Lewis as Miss Hannigan, seen recently in the Theatre's production of Hello, Dolly!

Al Hirschfeld, whose legendary quill pen captured virtually every well-known performing artist of the 20th century, is celebrated by Henri Bendel with the 'Hirschfeld Spectacular.' It all takes place at Henri Bendel, 712 Fifth Avenue at 56th Street, where visitors can see the main window of the Henri Bendel flagship store transformed into the resplendent formal dining room of a classic New York townhouse in the midst of a holiday party.

Michael Stephen Palmer, M.D., American physician and author, has died at the age of 71. On October 29, 2013, he unexpectedly suffered a heart attack and stroke, dying the next day in New York City. In addition to his three sons Matthew, Daniel, and Luke, Dr. Palmer's survivors include four grandchildren and his two sisters, Donna and Susan.
