PREMIERES, a not-for-profit musical theater development company, proudly announces the world premiere of INNER VOICES: SOLO MUSICALS, three new works created by and starring some of the industry's brightest talents. INNER VOICES will feature librettos by Ellen Fitzhugh, Laura Harrington and Michelle Lowe; scores by Michael John LaChiusa, Jenny Giering and Scott Davenport Richards, the work of directors Jonathan Buttrell, Jeremy Dobrish and Jack Cummings III, and performances by Tony Award winner Victoria Clark, Jennifer Damiano (Spring Awakening) and Tony nominee Barbara Walsh (Company). INNER VOICES will begin its limited, 12-performance run on Monday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. at The Zipper Factory Theater (336 West 37th Street). The press opening is scheduled for Sunday, May 18.

This month you can join Broadway actor-singer, Michael Winther (Mamma Mia, 1776, Songs From An Unmade Bed) and one of Broadway's top musical directors, Kimberly Grigsby (Grease, Spring Awakening, Light In The Piazza) with special guest, Sally Wilfert (William Finn's Make Me A Song) for a unique, romantic evening of new love songs by some of our best contemporary theater composers and lyricists. Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present Crossing Brooklyn, a world premiere musical, with music by Jenny Giering and book and lyrics by Laura Harrington, and directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (a Drama Desk nominee for Transport Group's The Audience) beginning performances Friday, October 19, at the Connelly Theatre, 220 East 4th Street, between Avenues A and B. The opening has been scheduled for Sunday, October 28.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that the company's 2007-2008 season will include two world premiere musicals: Crossing Brooklyn with music by Jenny Giering and book and lyrics by Laura Harrington, and Marcy in the Galaxy with music and lyrics by Nancy Shayne and book by 'Sex and the City' producer/writer/director Michael Patrick King and Shayne.
