The Actors' Gang, the critically acclaimed Los Angeles based ensemble Theatre Company, will be heading overseas bringing William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Academy Award winner Tim Robbins, to international audiences. The production will put on six performances in Beijing, China, June 10th - 15th at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, four performances in Shanghai, China, June 19th - 21st at the Daguan Theatre, Zendai Himalayas Art Center and four to six performances in Italy, June 28th - July 6th at the prestigious Spoleto Festival.

Bay Street Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of CONVICTION (May 27-June 15) by Carey Crim and directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's new Artistic Director. The production is co-produced by Bay Street Theatre, Rubicon Theatre in California, Dead Posh Productions, London and Canada's Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.

Writer, actor and activist Timothy Conigrave's best-selling memoir (winner of the United Nations Human Rights Award for Non-Fiction and listed as one of the '100 Favorite Australian Books' by the Australian Society of Authors) is one of Australia's great love stories. The stage version by Tommy Murphy captures all its special magic. Producers Nick Hardcastle and Nate Jones launch their newly formed Australian Theatre Company with the Los Angeles premiere of Holding the Man, featuring an all-Australian cast and directed by veteran Hollywood acting coach Larry Moss. Opening night is May 10 at the Matrix Theatre.

Curated by Bernard Stote, this exhibit will feature over 75 original works of Caricature Art of popular cultural icons from Broadway community, Hollywood, politics, and Wall Street. The work will be on exhibition from September 12th through December 31st, with a gala opening reception on September 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) presents its 23rd Annual Simply Shakespeare benefit reading of 'The Two Gentlemen of Verona,' September 25, 2013 at The Broad Stage, Santa Monica. The evening will feature a star-studded cast including Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and William Shatner. Additional participants will be announced. Simply Shakespeare features a hilarious and entertaining evening of impromptu Shakespeare and song. All proceeds from the event support the SCLA and its arts based veterans employment and youth employment programs for inner-city youth and arts education in local schools.
