On the heals of its hit musical production Titanic, Griffin Theatre Company continues its 2014-15 season with Lanford Wilson's acclaimed drama BALM IN GILEAD directed by ensemble member Jonathan Berry and featuring an ensemble cast of 27 actors and musicians. BALM IN GILEAD will play March 14 - April 19, 2015 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

The Geffen Playhouse announces the cast for its West Coast premiere production of Conor McPherson's The Night Alive, helmed by Geffen Playhouse Artistic Director Randall Arney. This production will feature Paul Vincent O'Connor (August: Osage County at the National Theatre, London), Fiona O'Shaughnessy (Utopia), Dan Donohue (The Lion King on Broadway), Denis Arndt (Basic Instinct), and Peter O'Meara (Band of Brothers).

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are pleased to announce the lineup of The Tens, an evening of world premiere ten-minute plays. The Tens runs January 13 - 17, 2015 in the Victor Jory Theatre.

Launching the Fountain Theatre's 25th Anniversary Season, Simon Levy directs Kristin Carey, Ryan Doucette, Joanna Strapp - and some very unusual, one-of-a-kind dolls - in the Los Angeles premiere of Reborning by Zayd Dohrn. How far would you go to create a family? A darkly funny psychological thriller that takes an unsettling look at work, motherhood and the power of healing, Reborning opens at the Fountain Theatre on Jan. 24.

Following four sold-out performances in its series of stand-up, The Schoolhouse Theater has scheduled three new comics for Comedy Night, tonight, December 13, at 8 pm at its venue on 3 Owens Road, just off Route 22 in Croton Falls.

Bernard Pomerance's Tony Award-winning play The Elephant Man, starring two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper as John Merrick, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson as Mrs. Kendal, and Alessandro Nivola as Dr. Frederick Treves, is directed by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis. Gavin Creel, 2014 Best Actor in a Musical Olivier Award-winner for his performance as Elder Price in the London production of The Book of Mormon, will join the Broadway company as Elder Price on Tuesday, January 6. Creel also created the role of Elder Price on the US First National Tour. Nic Rouleau, the current Elder Price on Broadway, will play his final performance on Sunday, January 4, before joining the London company of The Book of Mormon, where he begins performances as Elder Price on Monday, February 2.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of Quiara Alegria Hudes's The Happiest Song Plays Last, the final play in Hudes's award-winning Elliot trilogy. In 2013, The Happiest Song Plays Last premiered at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, with a later Off-Broadway run at New York's Second Stage Theatre in 2014. A 2015 production at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival has been announced.

The Goodman Theatre's world premiere production of Rebecca Gilman's 'Luna Gale,' directed by Robert Falls, opened last night, Tuesday Tuesday, December 2 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre. Long Wharf Theatre, led by Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents Forever, written and performed by Dael Orlandersmith, from January 2 through February 1, 2015 on Stage II. The press opening is Wednesday, January 7 at 7:30 pm.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a cherished tradition that has become Chicago's definitive family holiday production, will be presented from November 20 through December 23, 2014 at Drury Lane Theatre for Young Adults, 100 Drury Lane.
