Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly leads the BSO and the Baltimore Choral Arts Society in the final SuperPops program of the season, a tribute to the work of film composer John Williams, considered one of the greatest of all time. On Thursday, May 28 at 8 p.m. at The Music Center at Strathmore, and Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 30 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 31 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, audiences will hear some of the most popular and recognizable film scores in cinematic history including music from Superman, Home Alone, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, Schindler's List, Star Wars, Saving Private Ryan and E.T. Media Theatre's New Dance Classes Begin Later This Month

Get ready to dance! The Media Theatre is expanding its curriculum to include Tap and Ballet classes. They'll take place at the new School and Dance Studio just two-and-a-half blocks from the theatre where Media Music Theatre Company thrives as the producing organization of all Broadway Series productions, Youth Series shows, and educational opportunities. The Studio is at 28 West State Street, right in the center of Media borough near the Plumstead Mall. Classes begin the week of Monday April 27.

Pacific Northwest Ballet Presents SWAN LAKE Tonight

SEATTLE, WA - Pacific Northwest Ballet's Swan Lake, choreographed by Founding Artistic Director Kent Stowell, returns to the McCaw Hall stage as the fifth offering of PNB's 2014-15 season. This beloved story ballet, revered by audiences and dancers alike, is classical ballet at its very best. Sumptuous scenery, costumes, and lighting, and an achingly beautiful Tchaikovsky score, set the stage for the ethereal corps de ballet and the ultimate challenge for ballerinas all over the world—the dual role of Odette, trapped in the body of a white swan until the oath of her true love sets her free; and Odile, the “Black Swan” temptress. With an added performance on opening weekend, Swan Lake runs for nine performances only, from tonight, April 10 through 19 at Seattle Center's Marion Oliver McCaw Hall.

Dance Against Cancer, An Evening to Benefit The American Cancer Society Set for 4/27

Producers Erin Fogarty and Daniel Ulbricht have partnered with the American Cancer Society to present the 5th annual Dance Against Cancer on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the AXA Equitable Theater, 787 Seventh Avenue (between 51st and 52nd Streets). VIP guests will enjoy cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres at 6pm, followed by world premiere dance performances at 7pm from companies including New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Gallim Dance, members of NYC's Broadway community and more. Tickets are $150 for General Admission, $300 for VIP and $500 for Preferred VIP with dress rehearsal access and are available at dacny.org. All proceeds from this event will benefit research initiatives as well as all patient and family service programs that American Cancer Society funds. Since its inauguration, Dance Against Cancer has raised over $325,000 in support of the American Cancer Society.

Imagine Ballet Theatre, an Ogden-based ballet company, is bringing spring to the stage of Peery's Egyptian Theatre, with their colorful production of The Secret Garden on April 17 and 18, 2015. Ten years ago, Imagine Ballet Theatre, with the direction and choreography of Artistic Director Raymond Van Mason and a magical score composed exclusively for the company by Kurt Bestor, brought the literary masterpiece of Francis Hodgson Burnett to life. To further celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Imagine Ballet Theatre's The Secret Garden, the composer Kurt Bestor will be conducting the live orchestra.

The 2014-2015 Eccles Center season comes to a close with the “gripping, urgently beautiful choreography,” (San Francisco Chronicle) of Alonzo King LINES Ballet on Saturday, April 25. The San Francisco-based troupe comes to the stage with a mixed repertory performance, including King's newest work “Biophony” (which premieres on the company's home stage just three weeks prior to its Park City debut). BWW Reviews: JESSICA LANG DANCE Mixes Movement with Graphic Elements

Although Jessica Lang Dance was founded in 2011, Artistic Director Jessica Lang is no newcomer to the dance scene. Lang, a disciple of Twyla Tharp, is on the faculty of American Ballet Theatre's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School and has been an active choreographer since 1999. Lang's signature style marries classical movements with a "striking design element." This theme played out through Jessica Lang Dance's performance at George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium, an evening co-presented with Washington Performing Arts and City Dance. The graphic component in particular was inconsistent throughout the evening and did not always further Lang's artistic vision.
