At the end of last year, when the future of the Carbonell Awards seemed in doubt, the community rallied together to voice support for South Florida's oldest and most prestigious arts honors which applaud the best shows and performances in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is delighted to announce its latest production, LITTLE WOMEN. Based on Louisa May Alcott's own family experiences (and novel), LITTLE WOMEN, follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America. This wonderful narrative has been brought to life as an exhilarating musical filled with glorious music, dancing and heart. The timeless story of the beloved March sisters beautifully illustrates the thrill of chasing a dream and the power of love in a war-stricken family. This musical embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing laughter, tears, and a lifting of the spirit. Maltz Jupiter Receives 8 Carbonell Noms For THE FULL MONTY

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is excited to announce that the Theatre received eight Carbonell nominations for its 2008 production The Full Monty, including Best Musical. Other nominations include Alan Souza for Best Director, Gavin Lodge for Best Actor, Mimi Hines for Best Supporting Actress, Helen Gregory for Best Musical Direction, Ron DeJesus for Best Choreography, Michael Philippi for Best Scenic Design and Donald Thomas for Best Lighting Design.
