Tonight's episode of American Idol marks a turning point in the competition, as judges Randy, JLo and Mr. Tyler made the trek to San Francisco for the final stop in their nation-wide search for America's most promising singers. That's right, starting tomorrow night, Idol will reach it's final destination, where the best auditionees from around the country will duke it out to survive the brutal first cut of the Hollywood round.

The forward-thinking panel will feature some of the world's social and new media trailblazers including current GRAMMY nominee Adam Lambert; GRAMMY winner Chamillionaire (RIAA-certified as one of the biggest selling ringtones by a solo artist); Facebook Director of Platform Product Marketing Ethan Beard; Foursquare Co-Founder Naveen Selvadurai; and Pandora Founder & Chief Strategy Officer Tim Westergren. The panel will be moderated by veteran broadcast music journalist John Norris. Attendees include key music and digital executives and savvy social media trendsetters.

American Idol will release an album featuring the hits of some of their past winners and contestants, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Singer Adam Lambert's meteoric rise began with his appearance as a contestant on the 2009 season of American Idol, when he became a favorite of judges and the public with his memorable and masterful performances. He is nominated for a 2010 Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal for 'Whataya Want From Me,' a song co-written by Pink, Max Martin and Shellback, which was the second single released from his million-selling debut album For Your Entertainment. Lambert's Acoustic Live EP soared to the number one spot on iTunes Album Charts and received raves from music critics. The Houston Chronicle praised his 'flawless, fearless vocals,' saying 'he approaches every song with a ferocity that soars above most of today's pop stars.'
