As part of The Metropolitan Opera's (Met Opera) urgent “The Voice Must Be Heard” fundraising campaign to support and protect the future of opera amid the COVID-19, more than 40 leading opera artists and members of the company's brilliant orchestra and chorus performed from their respective homes all around the world. The unprecedented virtual gathering of Met Opera's principal artists, ensemble, and orchestra, billed as At-Home Gala, was streamed live around the world in 162 countries on 25 April 2020, viewed by more than 750,000 global audience members.

Twickenham Fest, a premiere summer chamber music festival held in Huntsville, Alabama, will be celebrating its 10th year in production this August. Founded by leading soprano Susanna Phillips and decorated bassoonist Matthew McDonald in 2010, Twickenham Fest brings together top young professional musicians from around the world to Huntsville to celebrate all that Chamber music has to offer. 

Renowned chamber music ensemble Camerata Pacifica continues its ambitious “Why Beethoven?” project with a performance of the composer's first major work for winds, his Quintet in E-flat for Piano & Winds, Op. 16.

Highlights of the upcoming season include a five-concert cycle of orchestra performances, a three-concert chamber series at the New York City Library for the Performing Arts, and a residency at Arkansas universities. Carnegie Hall today announced details for the inaugural July 2013 tour by the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America, a remarkable new ensemble, which, beginning this summer, annually brings together some of the most talented young orchestral players from across the United States, ages 16-19. The NYO-USA's 2013 summer schedule includes five performances in the US and abroad from July 11-21.
