Barrel of Monkeys invites you to enjoy a line-up full of brand new stories at THAT'S WEIRD, GRANDMA: Summer Block Party, directed by Artistic Director Joseph Schupbach, playing Mondays at 8 pm from June 8 - August 10, 2015 at the Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N. Ashland Ave. in Chicago. Throughout the summer months, Barrel of Monkeys will premiere stories from the 2014-15 school year - all conceived and written by Chicago Public School students and adapted for the stage and performed by Barrel of Monkeys Company Members. Pivot Arts launches its second annual celebration of innovative performance events, today, May 28 - June 14, throughout Chicago's Uptown, Edgewater and Rogers Park neighborhoods. First Chicago Lab Arts Residency THEN, ONE NIGHT Opens Tonight, 10/31


THEN, ONE NIGHT is the first arts project residency for Chicago Lab, a new program under development at Jonny Stax Presents. These residencies are full-term engagements to support arts creators throughout the creation process of a new idea from inception to realization. Through this residency, lab mentors have supported Lacy Katherine Campbell's THEN, ONE NIGHT through strategic and business planning, documentation and evaluation, clarity and encouragement, and artistic feedback. Jonny Stax Presents also brokered space for rehearsal and presentation with their Lab partners at Teatro Luna, North Shore Baptist Church, and Stage 773.
