Pioneer Theatre Company announces auditions for two productions, Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, which opens March 30, and the concert staging of Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights, opening March 16.
Auditions for Twelfth Night will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. is reserved for Equity actors only, while open auditions will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Callbacks will be held the next day, Saturday, December 2, 2017, time to be determined.
Twelfth Night auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. A headshot and resume are recommended.
In the Heights auditions will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., however 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. is reserved for Equity actors only. The remaining 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. hours will be used for open auditions.
In the Heights auditions will be held at the West Fine Arts Building across the street from the theatre, Room 240. Again, a headshot and resume are recommended.
Auditioners for either production must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Sign up sheets will be posted Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Sides will be available at that time. No phone calls, please.
Rehearsal dates for Twelfth Night are March 5 - 29, 2018, with performances March 30 through April 14, 2018. In the Heights rehearsals will take place March 5 - 15, 2018, followed by three performances, March 16 - 17, 2018.
Guest Director Larry Carpenter will direct Twelfth Night. PTC Artistic Director Karen Azenberg will direct and choreograph In the Heights.
