The Company Theatre to Hold Auditions
for Savannah Disputation
NORWELL, MA Issued June 21, 2012… The Company Theatre will hold auditions for the their upcoming production of The Savannah Disputation by Evan Smith, a brilliantly touching comedy, directed by Lisa Rafferty, on Thursday, June 28 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. All roles are open for casting; audition candidates will be reading excerpts from the script. Resume and headshot are helpful but not required.
In The Savannah Disputation, two elderly sisters forget all about southern charm when a young door-to-door evangelist comes knocking. This theological comedy blends Smith's trademark sharpness of wit and depth of character, while telling a story in which a crisis of faith arises when seemingly similar beliefs are discovered to be worlds apart.
The Savannah Disputation will be running from October 5 through October 21, with performances on Thursday through Sunday each week. Rehearsals begin August 19 and will be held on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
