Casting Chorus and One Supporting Role - "The Black Lizard"

Open Call March 13 6PM, Imago Theatre, 17 SE 8thAvenue

Giant or Very Small Needed one very tall actor preferably 6’ or taller for a supporting speaking role in Imago’s “The Black Lizard” male or female. Or a very small person.

Chorus
Several actors ranging from 18 to 30 years old will be cast for the chorus in Imago’s “The Black Lizard”. The chorus will play multiple silent roles in the production.
To audition arrive at open call on: March 13 at 6PM at Imago Theatre, 17 SE 8th Avenue. You must be 18 years or older to audition.
Rehearsals for Chorus and Support role begins Mid April. The show runs May through June 3. All rehearsals are evenings, primarily weekdays.
No prepared audition material is required. The audition will be held like a workshop. If you have auditioned for “The Black Lizard” or any other Imago show recently you are welcome to audition again. Bring head shot and resume if available.
"The Black Lizard" is a campy, outrageous, funny, poetic, stylistic, horrific mystery set in Osaka and Toyko. Jerry Mouawad’s direction will bring a contemporary flair to this wild classic from the East. The silent chorus and supporting role will portray gang members of The Black Lizard, a beautiful shift changer jewel thief and diabolical dark queen of underground Japan.

ALSO PLAYING IN PORTLAND - "Orphans" & "Circle Mirror Transformaton"
Imago veterans Jonathan Godsey and Kyle Delamarter are featured players in Offshoot Theatre Co.'s production ofOrphans by Lyle Kessler. They play orphaned brothers Treat and Phillip in Kessler's award-winning drama about love, attachment and our need for other people. Bruce Chesse, artistic director of the Oregon Puppet Theatre, portrays Harold, the mysterious stranger whose entry into the brothers' lives provokes unimagined changes. The play is directed by Robert Gaynor, who also has appeared in a number of Imago productions.
