Florida Studio Theatre, Richard Hopkins Artistic Director, will be holding local Equity and non-Equity auditions by appointment at the Theatre in Sarasota, FL for the first show of the 2013-14 Winter Mainstage Season. SPAMALOT book by Eric Idle, score by Eric Idle and John Du Prez TONY AWARD WINNER. Lovingly ripped off from the classic film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” this outrageous musical tells the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. While embarking on their quest for the Holy Grail, the Knights encounter flying cows, killer rabbits and taunting Frenchmen while performing heart-stopping musical numbers. Seeking the following roles: Female Ensemble – 4 strong female singer-dancers, 18-35. Trim, fit and sexy. PLEASE WEAR DANCE SKIRT TO THE AUDITION. Male Ensemble – 4 strong male singer-dancers, 18-35. Attractive, fit and trim. Director: Bruce Jordan Music Director: John Franceschina Choreographer: Lori Leshner Begins rehearsal – October 22, 2013 Show opens – November 15, 2013 Show closes – January 25, 2014 The auditions will be held on Monday, September 16 from 2:15-6pm at the Theatre (1241 North Palm Ave., Sarasota, FL). Auditionees should prepare the song of their choice that shows off range. All should bring an updated photo & resume to the audition.
