PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY UPCOMING AUDITIONS Scapin by Molière ?Pioneer Theatre Company is holding auditions for its production of Scapin. Equity actors are requested to submit audition materials online; non-equity actors must sign-up to attend an in-person audition. Our twist on Molière’s brilliant and hilarious farce of crossed lovers and parental objection whisks Scapin, the trouble-making servant, to La Dolce Vita Italy, where the clothes are chic and the morals high. The mothers of Octave and Léandre have marriage plans for their sons. They must marry and marry well. But, little do they know that Octave is already married to Hyacinth, and Léandre is head over heels in love with Zerbinette, a girl in the coolest band in Naples. They need the help of Scapin, a trickster, a person with no moral framework, and schemer of the highest order to help them resolve their love lives, and maybe they can make a little money on the side. The production is directed by STEPHEN WRENTMORE. Rehearsal dates for the production are August 22 – September 15, 2022; performances are September 16 - October 1, 2022.
