SLCC’s Black Box Theatre Holds Auditions for Romeo & Juliet
Salt Lake Community College’s Black Box Theatre is holding open auditions for its production of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. Auditions will be held on Monday, October 29, and Tuesday, October 30, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. both nights.
All roles are open and to all interested. Between 20-25 actors will be cast to play more than 30 total roles. The casting will use a variety of actor types; women are strongly encouraged to audition for male roles. This production will be set in the future on a space station with modern themes.

Those auditioning should prepare the following: one-minute monologue, sonnet, or poem. It is preferred that auditioners memorize the selection, though reading is acceptable.
Rehearsal begins Monday, November 5 at the Black Box Theatre, on SLCC's South City Campus. Rehearsals will generally take place between 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., Monday- Friday with some Saturdays.
Production dates for Romeo & Juliet are: February 14 - March 2, 2013.
