AUDITIONS FOR NEW PLAYS FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES Thursday, April 30, 5:30-9:30pm, Pless Hall Annex basement, 26 Washington Place, NY, NY Sunday, May 3, 9:00am-2:00pm, Education Building, room 307 (third floor), 35 W. 4th Street, NY, NY Prepare a 1 minute monologue for the audition. Bring an acting resume and headshot or larger picture of yourself If you are interested in auditioning for the musical be prepared to sing 16 bars of a traditional or contemporary musical theater piece. Accompanist will be provided. Please come 5 minutes early for paperwork and be willing to stay 10-20 minutes past. You can audition for one, two, or all three scripts. Sign up for audition online at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F054AADA922A13-20151 Based in the Program in Educational Theatre at New York University Steinhardt, New Plays for Young Audiences is an annual summer play development series located in the historic Provincetown Playhouse. Founded in 1998 by Lowell and Nancy Swortzell, NYU’s prize-winning series has developed dozens of new plays written by leading playwrights for young audiences and families. These plays go on to receive both national and international recognition, publication and production. 2015 Reading Series We rehearse 6-10pm Sunday through Friday and either 12-4pm or 5-9pm on Saturday. Readings are on Saturday afternoon or evening and Sunday afternoon. The 2015 series runs May 31- June 21 with each script developed over a week of the series.
