THE UN-COMMON THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER AUDITIONS FOR ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL
Auditions To Take Place Saturday, September 7 (by appointment only)
The Un-Common Theatre Company is thrilled to announce auditions for their Fall Production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Auditions for students currently in grades 2-12 will be held at the South Foxboro Community Center, 382 South Street in Foxboro, MA and are by appointment only. All roles are available. The production will reunite the creative team that brought Un-Common’s hugely successful Annie to life, including Director Meg Quin Dussault (Sharon, MA), Music/Orchestra Director Eric Anderson Jr. (Stoughton, MA) and Choreographer Alex Deschamps (Lakeville, MA). Matilda will be performed at The Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center (Orpheum Theatre) in Foxboro on November 22-24, 2019.

Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, the Tony Award-winning musical is the captivating masterpiece that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda is a joyous girl power romp packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
For those who are out of practice or would like to improve their auditioning skills, Un-Common is also offering an Audition Workshop, taught by the Matilda production team of Meg Quin Dussault, Eric Anderson Jr., and Alex Deschamps. This Audition Workshop is being held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Qualters Middle School, Mansfield, MA. A breakout session for parents will also be offered to introduce and review the process of the audition, the production and The Un-Common Theatre Company in general. The workshop fee, including the parent workshop, is $25 per child. Please email
