Auditions for “La Cage Aux Folles” at The Grand Theatre
The Grand Theatre, located at 1575 South State Street,
Salt Lake City, will be holding auditions for “La Cage Aux Folles” on
Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The auditions
will be held in room West 226, located in Salt Lake Community
College’s South City Campus. Brent Schneider will be directing the
production and it will run May 7-25, 2013 at the Grand Theatre.
Rehearsals will begin in April.
Those wishing to audition will need to call the Grand Theatre box
office at (801) 957-3322 to schedule an audition time. Each actor will
be scheduled in 5-minute blocks and should select 16 bars of a Musical
Theatre piece to perform. In addition, those auditioning should allow
time to learn and perform a short movement sequence in between singing
blocks. Please wear jazz or ballet shoes for the movement sequence, as
athletic and character shoes are not permitted on the floor of the
audition room.
