GOLDILOCKS: A ONE ACT DRAG MUSICAL - Hudson Guild Theater

Goldilocks is an unconventional twist on the children’s tale that follows the relationship between Paul and Lisa, a young couple getting married sooner than expected due to a pregnancy. As Paul tries tries to figure out who he is, he stumbles into the drag scene and becomes Goldilocks, a drag queen performing with his “three bears.” The relationship is tested as Paul explores his new passion.

Goldilocks is seeking non-equity actors for the 2016 Thespis Theatre Festival. Also seeking production/creative team members!


ROLES
PAUL - Baritenor (Ab2-F4)
Young man who is questioning his gender identity while still wanting to have a family.

LISA - Mezzo (B3 - C5)
Young woman who is questioning how she wants to achieve her goals while still having a family.

ALEX - Bass (E2-E4)
Lead drag queen at the club. Strong sense of self.

ENSEMBLE (all genders/bodies/voices)
3-6 ensemble members who will perform as supporting characters, including drag queens and office workers, and will sing ensemble material.
