PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY UPCOMING CHILDREN'S AUDITIONS Elf the Musical Children between the ages of 8 and 14 are invited to audition for Pioneer Theatre Company production of Elf the Musical on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Adult auditions will be held at a later date. The movie became an instant cult classic, and the musical adaption took Broadway and Utah by storm! Buddy discovers that he’s not really an elf—the fact that he’s 6’2” and towers over the other elves in Santa’s Workshop should have tipped him off – and travels to New York to find his real father. He finds, and spreads, love, helping others rediscover the joy of Christmas along the way. The production is directed by Alan Muraoka and choreographed by Rommy Sandhu. Tom Griffin is Musical Director. First rehearsal begins November 8, 2021 until December 2, 2021. The performance dates are December 3 through December 18, 2021. Auditioners must be between 8-14 years old and under 5 feet tall. A headshot and resume are recommended. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to audition. All auditions will be held at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Each auditioner should prepare a song of their choice in any style. An accompanist will be provided; bring your own music.
