The Play
Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a dry spell which has resulted in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college-a thriller which Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway hit. At his wife's urging, Sidney offers to collaborate with the young playwright - but we soon realize collaboration was never his plan...

The Audition
As always, the audition for Deathtrap will be a cold read - no need to prepare anything in advance. Feel free to bring a head shot and resume, if you don't have these ACT will have audition forms and a camera.

If auditioning for a play sounds scary - we get it! Just remember, ACT is full of first time actors, designers, and directors. Remember, this is your theatre.
