AUDITION NOTICE Tim Evanicki and Esther Daack are excited to announce the triumphant return of their award-winning show “Bathhouse: The Musical!” to Orlando! The show, which premiered at the 2006 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, has since played in several cities around the US, Canada, and Europe including sold-out productions in Paris, London, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Cleveland, Montreal, Ottawa and Tampa! AUDITIONS: BY APPOINTMENT Wednesday, September 2 from 7-10PM, Parliament House Footlight Theatre CALLBACKS: Thursday, September 3 from 7-10PM PERFORMANCES: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, October 23 – November 22, Plus Monday, November 9 (Industry night/fundraiser) at the Parliament House Footlight Theatre. ALL ROLES PAID. $75 per performance totaling $1200, with bonuses for sold-out houses. This production will be directed by Tim Evanicki, one of the show’s creators. Also seeking specific production crew members (see below). Bring sheet music in your key. Prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo, campy musical theatre song. Those auditioning for Billy and Maurice should also have 32-bars of a ballad, which shows range, ready to go. You will perform songs from the show at callbacks, and please be prepared to stay the entire time, if needed. All characters must be comfortable performing the entire show wearing nothing but a bath towel around their waist. There is no nudity in the show. Auditioners will be asked to remove their shirts at callbacks. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. Character Breakdown: Billy: 18-22ish (Plays 18) Boyish, naïve, the “ingénue.” It’s Billy’s first day at the Bathhouse, and he has come looking for love, but soon realizes the others are only looking for something a little more “temporary.” Tenor to a high A-flat. Falsetto to C. Teddy: 18-25. The adorable, loveable, flirty, bear-chasing twink/otter. Tenor to high A-flat. Maurice: 25-35. The suave, handsome, mysterious man that everyone wants but few are lucky enough to get. Baritenor to a high F. David: 20-35. Formally known as just “The Hottie,” David is the most physically fit specimen of them all. He goes to the bathhouse to use the gym (really!). Baritenor to a high-G with some soul/riffing. Production Crew: Seamstress for minimal sewing needs (costumes are minimal.) Set builder. Technical Director/Stage Manager. Choreographer. Production crew paid.
