AVENUE Q SCHOOL EDITION is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life. Because the original AVENUE Q has some content elements that have previously made it a difficult choice for some students productions, MTI has worked with the AVENUE Q authors to create an adaptation that maintains the dramatic intention and integrity of the piece, while editing it to make it more appropriate for youth audiences and performers.

Auditions will take place at WPPAC on: Thursday, September 12 from 4-8 pm
Callbacks are: Sunday, September 15 from 4-8 pm callbacks NEW this fall: Free Audition Workshop Tuesday, September 10 from 5-7 pm In this optional workshop, students will meet the production team and learn music and choreography from the show.
Please prepare 16-32 bars of an appropriate contemporary musical theatre song. Bring the sheet music with you in the right key and come prepared to dance.

Rehearsals
REHEARSALS: September 24 - November 10
Tuesdays from 4-8 pm Fridays from 4-8 pm Sundays from 4-8 pm Additional Sunday rehearsal may be scheduled as needed.
Tech Week Tech Week is Monday, November 11 - Thursday, November 14 from 4-8 pm. tech week A more specific rehearsal schedule will be released after auditions. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal. Avenue Q rehearsals Rehearsals will take place at either the WPPAC or at ArtsWestchester.
