Auditions “All Shook Up” Inspired by and featuring the songs of ELVIS PRESLEY® Book by JOE DIPIETRO Originally Produced on Broadway by Jonathan Pollard, Bernie Kukoff, Clear Channel Entertainment, Harbor Entertainment, Miramax Films, Bob & Harvey Weinstein, Stanley Buchthal, Eric Falkenstein, Nina Essman/Nancy Nagel Gibbs, Jean Cheever, Margaret Cotter, in association with Barney Rosenzweig, Meri Krassner, FGRW Investments, Karen Jason, Phil Ciasullo Conard. Originally produced for Goodspeed Musicals, Michael P. Price, Executive Producer, Sue Frost, Associate Producer. Show Overview: All Shook Up is inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. It’s 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.” Audition Dates: ?Saturday, May 2 at 11 am-3pm ?Sunday, May 3, 2-6 p.m. ?Callbacks: Tuesday, May 5 at 6-9 pm Auditions can also be schedule by appointment with the director. Casting for the following roles: ?CHAD (Baritone): a great-lookin’, motorcycling, guitar-playing, leather-jacketed roustabout. ?NATALIE HALLER (Alto) (Early 20’s): a mechanic. ?DENNIS (High Tenor): a young, awkward, aspiring dentist. ?JIM HALLER (Baritone) (mid 40’s-50’s): Natalie’s widowed father. ?SYLVIA (Alto Belt) (mid 40’s): the no-nonsense, African-American owner of SYLVIA’S HONKY-TONK. ?MISS SANDRA (Alto): the beautiful, intellectual caretaker of the town’s museum. ?LORRAINE (Mezzo Belt): Sylvia’s 16 year-old daughter. ?MAYOR MATILDA HYDE (Mezzo) (mid 40’s-50’s): the town’s conservative mayor. ?DEAN HYDE(Tenor): Matilda’s 16 year-old son. He has grown up at a military boarding school. ?SHERIFF EARL (Baritone)(mid 40’s-50’s): the law in town. A man of not many words. ?ENSEMBLE: (16 and Up) Guys and Gals who will fill minor roles and be utlized throughout the show. Must be strong Dancers and Singers. Audition Requirements: Please come prepared with 2 song selections preferably one up-tempo in the pop/rock genre, songs from the show are permitted. Accompanist will be provided please bring sheet music in correct key. Also bring dance shoes to learn a short dance combination.
