vaccine or the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 14 days before the first day of
rehearsal. Proof of vaccination is required at the time of offer acceptance. TFANA reserves the right to
alter this requirement to include any booster or additional doses of the vaccine as recommended or

mandated by New York City public health officials and/or the Center for Disease Control. TFANA will
follow all local, state, and federal guidelines as established by those authorities and the Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) that is currently in place between LORT and Actors Equity Association on
COVID safety and transmission mitigation. Each company this season will be a “fully vaccinated
company” as defined by the MOU.

CHOTON (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) A Bengali American PhD student, approaching thirty, born in Kolkata, raised in the US. He speaks fluent Bangla and American English.
RAHEEM (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) Choton’s boyfriend, Black American, mid twenties. A cinematographer.
PISHIMONI (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) Choton’s aunt, his father’s sister. Born and raised in Kolkata, Bangla is her primary language. Speaking English exhausts her.
PISHE (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) Pishimoni’s husband, Choton’s uncle, also born and raised in Kolkata.
SHOU (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) Early to mid-twenties, identifies as kothi, a gender category native to the Indian subcontinent.
JITESH (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) Caretaker to Thammi and the household help. Doesn’t speak English.
SEBANTI (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST) A friend of Shou’s, an elder. Identifies as hijra.
