NOTE:

While the producer is seeking AEA members only for this call, it is an OPEN Call, meaning that the producer is running this audition. AEA Monitor will NOT be provided and AEA procedures will NOT be in effect

Seeking
Equity Dancers for the ensemble. Characters in the ensemble are Caucasian and Black South Africans.

**If cast, actors must join Canadian Equity. Producer will pay the fee to join. Actors auditioning/cast must be members in good standing with U.S. AEA.

Preparation
Be warmed and ready.
Bring jazz shoes. Ladies also bring dance heels. Also prepare 16 bars of legit musical theater ballad (& 2nd alternative choice) that shows off voice and range in case asked to stay and sing. Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist provided.

SEEKING:

BLACK SOUTH AFRICAN DANCE ENSEMBLE
Characters are Black South Africans, Male and Female; Age 20s and up. Seeking Dancers who are also strong singers and actors with individual specific character, energy and passion are required. The various dance styles include traditional African dance inspired by the spirit and rhythms of the culture and Dance-Pop.

CAUCASIAN DANCE ENSEMBLE
Characters are Caucasian, to play Londoners and White South Africans. Male and Female; Age 20s and up. Seeking Dancers who are also strong singers and actors with individual specific character, energy and passion are required. The various dance styles include elegant stylized waltzes, Dance-Pop and traditional African dance inspired by the spirit and rhythms of the culture.

SARAH:
Caucasian Female, Age Legally 18+ To Play Age 16. Seeking a talented dancer (MUST BE ABLE TO DANCE WELL -- Ballet/Lyrical or Contemporary Dance). Red-headed Londoner –THEMBA’s schoolmate, open-hearted and lively. Must be able Sing, as well, light youthful
Belt and Mix to C5.
