Breakdown

Soul Mates: The Journey to Hitsville. Written by Bill Castellino with Human Nature & David Rudder

Four, late 20’s to early 30’s pop stars from Wichita, Kansas remember the day they were thrown out of the High School Chorus and discovered the music of Motown. In memory, these High School outcasts take a bumpy bus trip to Detroit, walk into Hitsville, learn to make music, grow up and find their “voice.” They are a famous boy band called THE SOUL MATES.

Seeking:

Dwight:
Caucasian, Asian-American or Latino man. The outspoken mature leader of the group, smart, warm – the “host” of the evening. Dwight is a very strong tenor, but also needs to have a very strong falsetto for a lot of leads. Sings “Tracks of my Tears” (Smokey Robinson)

Jesse:
Caucasian, Asian-American or Latino man. The boy genius, full of factoids on just about any subject. Jesse is a strong baritone. Also needs a solid falsetto for some back-up vocals. Sings “Ain’t too Proud” (Temptations)
