Please prepare a short version of a song that shows off the required range of the role you are auditioning for. You may choose one of the songs in that character's list, a different Sondehim song, or something that is appropriate. Please bring sheet music. Everyone must bring picture and resume.

About the show: SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM is a musical revue consisting of music and lyrics written by Stephen Sondheim.


SEEKING:

Man #1 – Male, all ethnicities, early – late 20s. Leading man, hopeful, ambitious. Tenor with high A. His songs include: Something’s Coming, Franklin Shepard Inc., and Beautiful.

Man #2 – Male, all ethnicities, 28 – 40s. Conflicted, complex, driven. Tenor/Baritone with high G. His songs include: The Gun Song, Multitudes of Amy, and The Best Thing That Ever Happened.

Man #3 – Male, all ethnicities, 35 – 50s. Mature, has a dark side, but also has humor. Tenor/Baritone with low G and high F. His songs include: Being Alive, Something’s Coming, and Finishing the Hat.

Woman #1 – Female, all ethnicities, early – late 20s. Ingenue, sweet, ambitious, confident. Soprano with Ab. Her songs include: Do I Hear A Waltz, The Wedding Is Off, and Now You Know.

Woman #2 – Female, all ethnicities, 28 – 40s. Quirky, complex, headstrong, must move WELL. Soprano/Alto with low F. Her songs include: Good Thing Going, Losing My Mind, Wedding Is Off, and Ah But Underneath.

Woman #3 – Female, all ethnicities, 35 – 50s. Mature, sexy/smart, motherly. Alto with low F. Her songs include: Not A Day Goes By, In Buddy’s Eyes, Send In the Clowns, and Take Me to the World.
