Equity actors for 2 roles (1 man, 1 woman).
Particularly interested in seeing Equity actors who are new to Atlanta or who have Atlanta housing and are able to work as local jobbers. Housing is not available for out of town actors.

Sides will be provided. If you have not been seen at Horizon before, please also prepare a contemporary dramatic monologue.

Breakdown
How far will you go to get what you want? Will you be the same person if you do? When twenty-something star sex blogger and memoirist, Ethan, tracks down his idol, the gifted but obscure forty-ish novelist Olivia, he finds they each crave what the other possesses. As attraction turns to sex, and they inch closer to getting what they want, both must confront the dark side of ambition and the trouble of reinventing oneself when the past is only a click away.
Seeking:
OLIVIA:
Female, any ethnicity, late 30s/40s, A gifted, but obscure writer, attractive, confident enough, but not a voracious socializer/dater. A lover of books and serious literature, not up on the latest blogging trends, Olivia achieved limited literary success with one novel, but her career did not take off, and she has been making a living teaching. She has a new book that she has put her heart into, but she is afraid of getting it out into the world for fear of rejection. She was in a long-term relationship with a famous writer, but that is over.
ETHAN:
Male, any ethnicity, late 20s, also a writer with a wildly successful book pulled from his sex blog: he bet some buddies he could pick up a new woman every week for a year. Already working on the screenplay adaptation and a new literary app. An attractive, impetuously brash twenty-something blogger who literally and figuratively bursts into Olivia’s life one snowy evening. Comfortable in his skin; sexy, sexual and charmingly self-effacing just when you want to write him off as hopelessly arrogant; has found instant notoriety and success by blogging about his exploits having sex with strangers, but harbors deeper ambitions and values than perhaps meets the eye. He longs to win the respect of the literary world with his own writing. He is a huge fan of Olivia's published book,idolizes her and has tracked her down to the rural B&B where she goes to write.
