BREAKDOWN

THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA

Dir. William Hayes

Pancho

Male: 20s – early 30s. Young Mexican hotel employee and sometimes lover of the hotel owner, Maxine. Good looking, very physically fit and athletic he is a former Acapulco cliff diver.

Wolfgang

Male: 20s. Young German Tourist- Largely a stereotype of a beer-swilling, obtuse representatives of the “master race.” Perhaps even a member of the Nazi-youth. On vacation with his wife and in-laws. Must be proficient with German accent.

________

ARCADIA

Dir. J. Barry Lewis

1st rehearsal: March 7, 2017. Runs: March 31, 2017 – April 30, 2017

All characters speak in an upper class British dialect

Lady Croom

Female: 30s. From the early 19th century. The mother of Thomasina and a force to be reckoned with. She is perceptive and aware of everything happening on the property. She can be stern and demanding, and even a bit of a battle-ax - but she can also turn on the charm when she wants to. She is not intellectual or well-read, but she is observant and has some ability to turn a witty phrase, even if she is not extensively educated. Lady Croom is often flirtatious and can be sexually competitive. She entertains a number of suitors, but generally does so with some amount of discretion. She is a relatively strict if somewhat detached mother to Thomasina

Chloe Coverly

Female: 18 years old. From present day. She is a modern-day, adventurous, precocious version of Thomasina: a creative and imaginative thinker, but lacks the discipline of thought that Septimus trained into Thomasina. Like Thomasina, she possesses a curious, perceptive and brilliant mind, but lacks the education to have Thomasina's genius. She has become wrapped up in a world of status and parties, and though she finds it tiresome at times, she navigates it well.

__________

Bartley McCormick

Male: 18+ actor to play 17-20s. Helen’s younger dim-witted brother, He is the typical obnoxious little brother type. Knows how to push everyone's buttons. Incredibly thick and annoying.
