Seeking
OYL is seeking to expand its existing ensemble of actors. OYL is a highly physical company which premieres new works in NYC as well as running an apprentice program and working in Greece on an annual basis.

Please prepare a brief contemporary monologue under two minutes.

Bring picture and resume.

Rehearsal/Performance dates of various pieces are TBD.

Breakdown

OYL is seeking to expand its existing ensemble of actors. OYL is a highly physical company which premieres new works in NYC as well as running an apprentice program and working in Greece on an annual basis. Roles are typically very demanding physically and involve extensive movement choreography. We work as an ensemble and actors play lead roles as well as members of a chorus. Must work well in a collaborative/generative environment.

Rehearsal/Run dates of productions are all TBA.

OYL is currently working on:

1. Creation of 3 new pieces; including one with Bryony Lavery and one with members of National Theater of Greece.

2. Touring plans for PLEASE EXCUSE MY DEAR AUNT SALLY by Kevin Armento and POOL (NO WATER) by Mark Ravenhill.

3. Annual apprentice program and residency in northern Greece mid-July through mid-August.

4. Possible spring NYC production of a 2008 OYL show, pending various availabilities.
