Preparation

Actor auditions: Prepare two brief contrasting monologues. Note that there may be time to perform one selection only. Producer requests contemporary material. Some may be asked to stay for cold readings. If wanting to audition for singing and acting roles, please prepare one brief song and one brief contemporary monologue and attend during the ''singing'' audition time-frame. No accompanist is provided during the Actor auditions.

Singing auditions: Prepare two brief songs (one up-tempo and one ballad). Note that there may be time to perform one selection only. If wanting to audition for singing and acting roles, please prepare one brief song and one brief contemporary monologue and attend during the ''singing'' audition time-frame. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but will not transpose. Some may be asked to stay for the dance call. Bring appropriate dancewear and (if you have them) dance shoes.

Dancer auditions: Be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. Wear appropriate dancewear and have ballet, tap, and character shoes. Some may be asked to stay and sing after all have danced. Please prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo musical theatre song. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but will not transpose.

Please bring a picture & resume, securely stapled back-to-back.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY: Writers: Rick Elise, Marshall Brickman & Andrew Lippa. Director/Choreographer: Amiee Turner. Music Director: Esther Zabinski.

GOMEZ: MALE. 40 – 50. BARI-BASS. A deeply loving family man who has all the charm of a Latin lothario. He has an easy optimism and also a knack for scheming. Comic timing and genuine honesty are necessary for this part.

MORTICIA: FEMALE. 40’s. MEZZO-ALTO. Sexy, passionate, and deeply in love with Gomez. Skeptical of outsiders, she is very protective of her family and lives by a very strict, if not odd, code of morals and etiquette.

WEDNESDAY: FEMALE. 20’s. MEZZO-SOPRANO. Her dark, sadistic, and sociopathic traits from childhood have lessened to a degree as she has both matured and fallen in love with Lucas Beineke – a ''normal boy.'' .

PUGSLEY – WILL BE CAST LOCALLY FROM A SEPARATE AUDITION.

UNCLE FESTER: MALE. 35 – 45. BARI-TENOR. Serves as the Musical's narrator, and is in love with the moon. Despite his bizarre behavior and appearance he is gentle and loving to everyone. He is able to play the ukulele.

GRANDMAMA: FEMALE. 50’s-60’s. SOPRANO. An oddly suspicious character with strange habits and perfect comic timing.

LURCH: MALE. 35 – 45. BASS. Extremely tall ''butler'' who is really a ''jack-of-all-trades.'' Completely devoted to the Addams.

LUCAS BEINEKE: MALE. 20’S. TENOR. Wednesday’s adorable new boyfriend who is madly in love and seems completely normal.

ALICE BEINEKE: FEMALE. 40’s. SOPRANO WITH BELT. Lucas’ mother who seems completely normal.

MAL BEINEKE: MALE. 35 – 45. TENOR. Lucas’ father who seems completely normal.

ENSEMBLE: 4-5 MALE and 4-5 FEMALE. 25-35. Ensemble will play the Ancestors and should be very strong technical dancers. Must also sing well and be able to play small character parts.


AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS; By Jules Verne; Adapted by Mark Brown; Director: TBD

PHILEAS FOGG: MALE.30-45; An 1870’s highly cerebral British gentleman who puts his fortune and life at risk and takes on a bet to circumnavigate the globe in 80 days. Must have proper British accent.

MAN 2: MALE.30-50. Plays several characters but primarily plays Passepartout, Fogg’s comedic, idealistic, resourceful and enthusiastic French manservant. Must have proper French accent.

MAN 3: MALE.25-50. Plays many characters but primarily Detective Fix, a comically inept Scotland Yard detective who outwits himself at every turn. Several dialects required including British and Indian.

MAN 4: MALE.25-50. This track requires a brilliantly inventive physically comic actor to portray over 15 different characters with just as many dialects. A man of many faces who bounces with energy.

WOMAN 1: FEMALE.25-40. Plays several male and female characters but primarily plays Auoda, an Indian Princess. She is a docile damsel in distress who proves herself to be headstrong and resilient. Strong Indian dialect a must.


IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE - THE MUSICAL: Writers: Keith Ferguson & Bruce Greer; Director/ Choreographer: TBD; Music Director: John Jay Espino.

GEORGE BAILEY: MALE. 35-45. BARI-TENOR; Our hero. Runs a local, family-owned savings and loan. A good man who has lost his patience and his place in the world. Despite this he is undeniably likeable and exudes empathy and compassion

CLARENCE: MALE. 30-60. BARITONE. An optimistic and very loveable Angel Second-Class who must help George look at the meaning of his life to prove his worth to heaven in order to get his wings (literally.)

MARY (HATCH) BAILEY: FEMALE. 35-45 SOPRANO. George’s loving and patient wife who has always known what she wants, George, and does what it takes to get him, support him, love him, and keep him.

HENRY F. POTTER: MALE. 50’s. BARITONE. Our villain. An older man who owns the largest bank in town. Cold, domineering, and heartless, he owns practically the entire town and wants to own the rest.

MOTHER BAILEY: FEMALE. 50-60. MEZZO. A very kind and understanding woman. Mother to George and Fred.

UNCLE BILLY: MALE. 50-60. BARITONE. George’s uncle and business partner. A befuddled older character man.

HARRY BAILEY: MALE. 30-35. BARITONE. George’s younger brother. Will play other roles.

ENSEMBLE: MALE and FEMALE. 25-50. All vocal types. Looking for a diverse cross-section of energetic and charismatic actors/singers of all ages who move well or dance very well with broad vocal range. There is a very large (15-20) ensemble in this show. Every ensemble member will play many small parts and characters including Bert the cop, Ernie the taxi driver, Mr. & Mrs. Martini, the bank examiner, townspeople, party guest, bank customers, relatives, boyfriends, girlfriends, etc., etc., etc.

Please note: All smaller roles and understudies will be cast from the ensemble.

NO CHILDREN WIL BE AUDITIONED AT THIS CALL. PETE BAILEY (10 YEARS OLD), JANIE BAILEY (9 YEARS OLD), ZUZU BAILEY (7 YEARS OLD), TOMMY BAILEY (5 YEARS OLD) AND ALL OTHER CHILDREN WILL BE AUDITIONED SEPARATELY.

TERRENCE O’KEEFE: MALE. 40-45. A good looking, physically fit, but rather shy college professor who aspires to be a playwright and asks his former student Angie’s family to become investors.

ANGIE GRAZIANO: FEMALE. 25-35. A very attractive Italian restaurant manager. Smart as a whip but also a tough Italian woman. Knows what she wants and knows how to get it.

LOU GRAZIANO: MALE. 50’s. A very sweet Italian restaurant owner who loves his daughter very much and would do anything for her. He also may, or may not, have ''family'' ties.

MIKE FRANSISCO: MALE. 50-60; Male. A flamboyant, suspicious and irritable Sicilian who suffers from chronic indigestion. He may, or may not, have ''family'' ties. .

TINO DE FELICE: MALE. 40-50. An Italian real estate developer of few words and even fewer social graces who may, or may not, have ''family'' ties.

FRANKIE SALVUCCI: MALE. 40-60. A pale and beaten down Italian who is often mistaken for a mobster.

JOHN ADAMS: MALE. 40’s. Tenor. He is a very strong and domineering personality who shows a softer side when he is speaking to his wife. He has both passion and fire for the cause for independence.

BEN FRANKLIN: MALE. 60-70. Baritone. Universally liked and respected by the other members of congress, he often brings humor and levity to the somber moments.

THOMAS JEFFERSON: MALE. 30’s. Baritone. Must be tall, physically, with strong acting chops. He gets roped into writing the Declaration of Independence. Despite his quiet demeanor, he has passionate views, particularly on slavery.

JOHN DICKINSON: MALE. 40’s. Tenor. Must be a strong singer. He is the figurehead of the conservatives and fills the role of antagonist arguing against independence in the debate.

JUDGE JAMES WILSON: MALE. 30’s. Tenor. An associate Justice of the Supreme Court, he is one of the quietest characters but also one of the most pivotal as he is the one who decides the question of independence.

ABIGAIL ADAMS: FEMALE. 35-45. Soprano. Must be a very strong singer. She has an equally forceful personality to her husband and is truly the power behind the throne and also the heart of the family

EDWARD RUTLEDGE: MALE. 20’s. Tenor. Must be a strong singer with a North Carolina accent. The youngest delegate who threatens to vote against independence if the passage calling for abolishment of slavery was not removed

RICHARD HENRY LEE: MALE. 40’s. Tenor. A bold, brash, flamboyant character very proud to be a ''Lee from Virginia.'' Lee family of Virginia.

JOHN HANCOCK: MALE. 40’s. Baritone. Caustic and irritable. Intelligent but bored with the process.

MARTHA JEFFERSON: FEMALE. 20’s. Mezzo. Must be a strong singer. Thomas Jefferson’s beautiful, young, wife capable of charming both Franklin and Adams.

ANDREW MCNAIR: MALE. 40’s. Baritone. The congressional custodian. Provides some comic relief.

COURIER: MALE. TEEN’s. Tenor. Must be a strong singer capable of holding stage in a solo. He delivers George Washington’s dispatches to the Congress.

LEATHER APRON: MALE. TEEN’s. Tenor. McNair’s assistant. The term derives from an apprentice which he is.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS: MALE. 40’s – 70’s. There are many other MALE characters who play various parts. All must sing.


THE MIRACLE WORKER: By William Gibson. Director: Amiee Turner

1st PPP: March 30, 2016. Closes: April 17, 2016.

ANNIE SULLIVAN: FEMALE. 20s. A strong, vibrant women with an almost crude vitality whose past demons drive her to push Helen. Actor will be in intense physical scenes with a child throughout.

HELEN KELLER: – WILL BE CAST LOCALLY FROM A SEPARATE AUDITION.

CAPT ARTHUR KELLER: MALE. 40’S. Helen’s stern but devoted father. He struggles to maintain discipline in the house and to connect with Helen but loves his family nonetheless.

KATE KELLER: FEMALE. 30’s. Helen’s mother who seems tormented by Helen’s disability. She placates Helen rather than deals with her tantrums.

JAMES KELLER: MALE. Early 20’s. Helen’s half-brother who believes the best thing for the family is to have Helen institutionalized.

AUNT EVE: FEMALE. 30-50. A loud, opinionated woman who is the conduit to the Perkin’s Institute for the Blind.

ANOGNIS/DOCTOR: MALE. 35-50. A dear, kind man who cares deeply for Annie and serves as her mentor and councilor. Will double as the doctor.

VIRGINIA: FEMALE. 40 – 60. A sweet and stubborn servant in the Keller household. Loving towards the children.

ANYTHING GOES: By: Cole Porter, Guy Bolten, PG Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay, Russel Crouse, Timothy Crouse & John Weidman; Director/ Choreographer: Amiee Turner. Music Director: Esther Zabinski.

RENO SWEENEY: FEMALE. 30’s-40’s. Mezzo-Soprano: A sexy, brassy, charismatic Evangelist-night club singer. Actor must be an extremely strong vocalist with great comic timing.

BILLY CROCKER: MALE. 30’s. Tenor: An inefficient personal assistant who loves Reno but is in love with Hope. Actor should have equal comfort with physical comedy and sincere, romantic moments.

MOONFACE MARTIN: MALE. 40 - 50. Tenor: A gruff but equally goofy gangster on the run.

ELISHA WHITNEY: MALE. 50-65. Baritone: A nearsighted and often drunk business tycoon. Billy’s boss.

HOPE HARCOURT: FEMALE. 20’s. Soprano: A wealthy and beautiful heiress who is engaged to Lord Oakley. Although she is “privileged” she still has some spunk and fire.

MRS. EVANGELINE HARCOURT: FEMALE. 50-65. Any vocal range; Hope’s overbearing mother who is deeply concerned with money and status.

LORD EVELYN OAKLEIGH: MALE. 30-40. Baritone: A bumbling English aristocrat who is a bit nerdy.

ERMA: FEMALE. 20’s. Mezzo: Moonface’s smoking hot, but not so bright, gun-moll. A real character.

LUKE & JOHN: MALE. 25-50. All vocal types. Two mischievous, Chinese, heathens who are excellent card players.

ANGELS: FEMALE. 20’s. All vocal types. Four amazing showgirls with strong tap skills.

ENSEMBLE: MALE. 25-50. All vocal types. Looking for a diverse cross-section of energetic and charismatic actor/singer/dancers of all ages who move well or dance very well. Tap dancing a strong plus. Every ensemble member will play many small parts and characters including the ship’s Captain, tap-dancing sailors, etc.
