For an appointment, call 585-232-1366. Please note that an accompanist will only be available on Friday the 12th. ** Appointments will be taken for that day first. If the slots for Friday have not been filled then Saturday’s auditions will be cancelled.

Prepare EITHER 1) two contrasting monologues, totaling four minutes together, for dramatic only auditions; or 2) if also auditioning for the musical, prepare a brief monologue and also a brief song in the style of COMPANY. If singing, bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist provided but may not transpose.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Seeking:

Subscription Gentleman/Fezziwig/Christmas Present/Londoner:

Character role with great presence and “size” to capture Fezziwig’s and Present’s spirit. Must sing well – baritone.

All other roles cast from the 2010 production.

PERFECT WEDDING

The Bride. Pretty, 20s, always in command. It’s her wedding day and it better be perfect.

Bill:

The Groom. Good-looking, 20s. Rarely in command. It’s his wedding day and he screwed up.

Tom:

The Best Man. Good-looking, 20s. Dependable. He is a straight-shooter but caught in a pickle.

Judy:

The Other Woman, 20s. Very attractive. She changes her mind.

Julie:

A chambermaid, 20s. Pretty in a kooky way. Volatile.

Daphne:

The Mother of the Bride, 40s. Emotional because her baby is getting married.

A RAISIN IN THE SUN

Seeking:

Ruth Younger:

About 30, her once youthful beauty beginning to fade. She is mother of 10 year old boy, and wife to Walter Lee.

Walter Lee Younger:

Mid-30s, intense, passionate, with a quality of indictment in his voice.

Beneatha Younger:

About 20, intense and intellectually attractive.

Lena Younger:

Early 60s, strong, and full of wit and faith. Mother to Walter and Beneatha.

Joseph Asagai:

20s. A Nigerian student in love with Beneatha.

George Murchison:

20s. A wealthy African American courting Beneatha who intellectually challenges the neighborhood.

Mrs. Johnson:

A neighbor of the Youngers, no particular age, very expressive.

Karl Lindner:

The only white character, middle-aged representative of the Clybourne Park Improvement Association where the Youngers would like to move.

Bobo:

One of Walter’s partners in a plan to buy a liquor store. Slow witted.

SUPERIOR DONUTS

Max Tarasov:

49, Russian small-time entrepreneur who wants to buy the donut shop and expand his video store. Enthusiastic and practical.

Officer Randy Osteen:

49, Irish-American policewoman. Unmarried in a family of brothers. Has a fondness for Arthur.

Officer James Bailey:

43, African-American policeman, partner to Randy. Married and a Star Wars fan.

Lady Boyle:

72, Irish-American bag lady. Drinks a bit.

Franco Wicks:

21, African-American. Bright, energetic, and entrepreneurial. Great talker. Has a gambling habit. Has written a novel in long-hand on a series of notebooks.

Luther Flynn:

45, Irish/Italian-American. Tough but savvy guy who runs numbers.

Kevin Magee:

28, Irish-American. Flynn’s sidekick and not as smart.

Kiril Ivakin:

35, Russian. A mountain of a man. Speaks little.

Susan:

A gracious Southern belle who suffers from fainting spells. Married to Peter. Soprano.

Peter:

Forrmerly Ivy League, possibly gay. Married to Susan. Baritone.

Jenny:

Sweet, but a bit square. Married to David. Soprano.

David:

Chic and a bit controlling. Married to Jenny. Baritone.

Amy:

Neurotic, gets cold feet on her wedding day. Marrying Paul. Mezzo.

Paul:

Amy's fiancé, Jewish, who has learned how to put up with her manic spells. Tenor.

Joanne:

Cynical and very acerbic. Drinks. Married to Larry. Alto.

Larry:

Joanne's third husband. Sweet and understanding. Baritone.

April:

One of Robert’s girlfriends, a naive flight attendant. Self-described as "dumb". Soprano.

Marta:

Hip and vulgar. Loves New York. Mezzo.

Kathy:

A small town girl, Robert's long-time on-off girlfriend. A terrific dancer. Mezzo.

The role of Robert has been cast.
