Equity actors and actor/singers for various roles in the Kennedy Center's Theater For Young Audience upcoming season.

Preparation
Actors will have a maximum of 3 minutes in which to present monologue(s) or song(s) or a combination of both. It is not necessary to use all 3 minutes. Timing strictly enforced. Accompanist provided for those singing.

Be prepared to bring multiple copies of your picture/resume.

Appointment Registration Information/Instructions

Registration will be handled via email and will begin on Monday, 1/12/15, at 9:00 AM EST. No emails sent prior to that time can be received or read. Requests for appointments should be sent to LiaisonAuditions@aol.com and should include the following information:

1) your name as it appears on your Equity card
2) your AEA membership number
3) a contact phone number
4) your preference for morning or afternoon appointment. If you have no preference, include that as well.
5) your email address if different from the address used to register.

Actors should receive a confirmation email within 1 to 3 days which will include information on your appointment, as well as instructions for the audition and number of pictures and resumes to bring (as you wil be auditioning for multiple theatres at this call)

Those members who do not receive an appointment, are welcome to attend the audition on the day of to be seen as time permits if any slots open up.

This world premiere Kennedy Center commission will be a play about two best friends in high school as they approach graduation - one a runner, one a writer - based on a touching and raw teen novel. For audiences ages 12 and up.

Main character: 18+ male, earnest and prone to melancholy

Main character: 18+ female, spunky and full of enthusiasm

Three versatile female actors: 18+, who will play the roles of back-up singers and other ensemble parts (female)

This world premiere Kennedy Center commission will be a musical inspired by Charles Dickens' novel Oliver Twist exploring the life of children in the favelas of contemporary Rio de Janiero. For audiences ages 10 and up.
