Breakdown
When a catastrophic environmental accident threatens to derail Texon Petroleum, it's up to documentarian turned big oil public relations guru Jaime Barrett with the help of his commercial making bro-buddy Aaron and Aaron's drug dealer Manny to come up with the perfect pitch to save the company, his relationship with his environmentally conscious fiancé Brittany, and his stolen dog. Packed with drugs, sex, spin doctoring, and dognapping, Crude is a black comedy about the price you pay for selling your soul in the new millennium.
SEEKING:
JAIME:
Male, Caucasian, mid-late 20’s. Smart, but a bit naïve. Sensitive, artist type. Privileged. Not conventionally attractive. A disappointment to his father.
BRITTANY:
Female, Caucasian, mid-late 20’s. Jaime’s girlfriend. Runs an environmental charity. Smart and strong, but emotionally delicate. Comes from money.
AARON:
Male, Any Ethnicity, late 20’s – early 30’s. Masculine, charismatic, and physically looks like he could be an athlete. Funny. “So bro it hurts”. Works with Jaime.
MANNY:
Male, Any Ethnicity, late 20’s-early 30’s. Drug dealer with a sage-like quality.
