Studios.

Preparation
Actors should prepare one monologue or two contrasting monologues not to exceed two minutes total in time.

Bring picture and resume.

a middle-aged (late 40’s), married nebbish wants to join the sexual revolution before it is too late. A gentle soul with no experience in adultery, he fails in each of three seductions:

ELAINE NAVAZIO
a sexpot in her late 30’s who likes cigarettes, whiskey, and other women's husbands, but with an air of desperation

BOBBI MICHELE
late 20’s, pretty, a struggling actress who, we discover, is madder than a hatter

JEANETTE FISHER
about 39, no discernable physical attributes, Barney’s wife's best friend, a staunch moralist.

pleasant looking. A Jewish accountant from St. Louis. Bookish, erudite, totally honest, and delightfully funny, charming and indomitable. The actor must be an engaging storyteller and emotionally accessible. Late 30's/early 40's.

SALLY TALLEY
Pleasant looking. Can be tough, straightforward. She uses the fragile nature of her heart. The susceptible but uncertain daughter of the Talley family, she fears that her family would never approve of a marriage between her and Matt. The actor must be emotionally accessible. Late 20's/early 30's.

Trim, attractive proprietor of Monkswell Manor. Sincere and trusting. Age 25-35

GILES RALSTON
Handsome husband of Mollie. A bit arrogant but protective of his wife. Age 25-35

CHRISTOPHER WREN
Hyperactive, eccentric young man. Neurotic and wild looking. Age 25-35

MRS. BOYLE
Large, severe, imposing older woman. Nothing pleases her. Age 65-75

MAJOR METCALF
Middle aged, army military man. Retired. A British “type” Age 50-60

MISS CASEWELL
Strange, aloof, masculine young woman. Age 25-35

MR.PARAVICINI
European eccentric man with a foreign accent. Wears make-up and has moustache. He’s very much like Hercule Poirot. Age 30-50

DETECTIVE SERGEANT TROTTER
Cheerful, commonplace young man. We later learn that he is quite mad. Age 25-35

All characters have slight British accent but Mr. Paravicini who has affected French and Detective Trotter has slight Cockney.
