Audition material should total 4 minutes or less. Please prepare two contrasting 16-bar selections: one ballad, one up-tempo. Bring sheet music; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose. In addition, please prepare a comic monologue.
Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.
New musical comedy-fable follows a young woman who lost her baby – when she didn’t even know she had one. Bernie accepts an assignment to write a documentary about Bigfoot and, while encountering a slew of tabloid-sized characters, discovers the truth not only about the creature but also herself.
All listed roles are available and will be considered for Equity contracts:
Nicolai Stevenson:
50s. Bear-tracker/Bigfoot expert. Authentic life-in-the-wilderness woodsman. Mark Twain-ish.
Maggie Stevenson:
50s. Devoted wife of Nicolai. Woodsy.
White Bird:
Man, mid 30s. 1/32nd Native American.
