(Los Angeles) July 31, 2015 - Audiences spoke and LA Opera listened. Due to the resounding success of ticket sales, LA Opera has announced an additional Halloween presentation of Universal Studios' Dracula, at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. The additional performance will allow more members of the Los Angeles community to witness the cinematic beauty of Dracula and its classical music.

This showing of Dracula will begin at 8pm on Saturday, October 31, and will be accompanied by a live performance of the film's score by Philip Glass and the Kronos Quartet. Guests who purchase tickets to this showing will also be able to attend Ace Hotel's Black & White Ball hosted by The Black Tux directly following the performance.

The Black & White Ball hosted by The Black Tux will feature a lavish cocktail bar, photo booth, and mystery treats. Guests can don creative black and white attire to attend the ball in costume style-L.A.'s most thrilling Halloween party. Plus, patrons can dance the night away to beats dropped by the hottest celebrity DJs straight out of the city's music scene.

General tickets will be available on Wednesday, August 5, at 10am. All tickets can be purchased directly on the Ace Hotel's website at this link:

About Dracula
There have been many screen versions of Bram Stoker's classic vampire tale, but none more famous or enduring than Universal Studios' 1931 original. Because its initial release coincided with the transition from silent pictures to "talkies," when limited sound technology existed, no musical score was ever composed and there were few sound effects. For its 1998 restoration of the film, Universal commissioned legendary composer Philip Glass to write a hypnotic new instrumental score, blowing the cobwebs off the horror classic and adding depth to the emotional layers of the drama.
