Oh, I am SALIVATING at the thought of Bianca tearing into Gia. Heck, I was applauding Bianca's half-read of Trinity's dream to play Beyonce in Vegas. "Sammy Davis Jr in a Beyonce wig".
I must be the only one here that isn't enamoured by Bianca. She is being portrayed as overly bitchy to me, which can be good at first to make herself stand out, but I worry that she'll be nails on a chalkboard to me further on in the season. I do agree that she had to do an epic teardown of Gia before either of them go.
You're not the only one, choitoy. see my last post on the previous page. There are things about her I like style/lookwise. But I'm also afraid she's more bitchy than funny and a little too relentless at it to boot. We'll see how it plays out.
Art has a double face, of expression and illusion.
I am still holding on to it being an editing situation. Judging from the YouTube videos I have seen, she delivers a dose of great comedy with the insults and it seems she's much nicer when out of character. We haven't gotten to see much out of character, though. She really strikes me as the most talented of the group.
Ben is lovely, but the character is annoying. Courtney hasn't shown much yet. For me, the jury is still out on Darienne. Milk is certainly creative and adorable out of drag, but so far, I haven't been impressed WITH the drag. Other than those and the one or two I already despise, the rest seem to just get lost in a blob. Of course, first impressions rarely last until the end. I am sure a "black horse" is going to come from behind.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
I liked Gia again... and then Untucked happened. And Laganja is so ****ing self important it's ridiculous. Face it Laganja, you're beef with your mother is that she didn't completely support your drag career and now she does. That's not exactly a big moment like other people's who have been on the show. See Chad's message from his dad who he hadn't talked to in over 10 years. I'm sorry that not everyone cried it out with you because bitch you way too overemotional. I'm pretty sure she's cried every episode so far.
In the 10 minute preview for next week Bianca called her an attention whore and she is.
It's really all about Bianca for me, but I also love Ben, and I really prefer the kind of crazy performance Milk does to anything a gorgeous but bland pageant queen (like Gia) does.
Poor, poor Gia - like that chunky pageant queen everyone learned to hate last year (I've already forgotten her name...), all she can do is look beautiful and lip synch; and performance is so much more.
The difference between her and someone "nasty" like Bianca, is Bianca has the wit and persona to actually make her barbs entertaining; Gia just sounds mean and stupid when she tries to do it.
That would be the odious RoXy. When she told that story about her mom leaving her at the bus stop, I thought, 'Well...you mom has taste.'
I was hoping Gia was going to turn into a lovably delusional gal like Alyssa Edwards. Alas, no. I mean...a kabuki queen could be very fun, but not this bitch. She just stupid.
And is it me, or did most of those kweens not get the musical theater references sprinkled throughout SHADE: THE RUSICAL?
Can someone make Sheryl Lee Ralph a permanent judge??
Odd that Darienne fell into bottom 3 over Gia. The lipsynch was EVERTYHING!
Can't wait to see snatch game. For anyone who's interested, here is who does who. Bianca: Judge Judy Darienne: Anna Nicole Ben: Maggie Smith Joslyn Teresa Guidice (sp?) Courtney: Fran Drescher Adore: Anna Nicole Trinity: Nicki Minaj Laganja: Rachel Zoe Gia: Kimora? Milk: Julia Child
Lucian Piane is cute, but damn is he a terrible lyricist and composer. His career highlights are remixes and production- why does he get picked when the show needs original music? Well, RuPaul nepotism, I suppose.
AVClub seems to think Darienne is doing Paula Deen.
I can't wait for Bianca's Judge Judy and Dela's Maggie Smith. Perfect choices for both.
Michelle's non-criticism of Dela was... typical.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
